Elder: Jack Markey
Jack was born and raised in New Jersey. Early in his life he was part of a boys’ youth group at a local Baptist church. It was during this period of time at the age of twelve that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He and his wife Barbara have three children and currently reside in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
Jack has a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S in Taxation, both from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ and also an MBA from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO. He is a business executive in a pharmaceutical company and is also a licensed CPA in the state of New Jersey.
Jack has been attending Mountain Ridge Bible Chapel since the early 1980’s and is currently a Trustee, an Elder and the Treasurer of the Chapel.
Elder: Doug Tremper
Doug was born in Morristown, NJ, and raised in a God-fearing home. He trusted the Lord Jesus as his Savior at the age of sixteen. He first began attending Mountain Ridge Bible chapel three years later. Doug married Erna McVicker in1979 and the Lord blessed them with six grown children, (four married), and ten grandchildren. They have served together in the Sunday School, VBS, various outreach ministries, bible camps and missions.
Doug has served as an elder at the chapel for over 35 years. As well as a chapel elder, Doug served the Lord at Pine Bush Bible Camp for many years. He also was President of the Somerset County Christian Parent educators for a number of years while they home schooled their children.
Doug is the author of a Christian devotional called, “Turning Back”, that is posted daily on the chapel Facebook page, and broadcasted in Spotify.
Elder: Tim McLaughlin
Tim was born and raised in Morristown, NJ, to Christian parents in a home where Christ was present and honored. Tim trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior at 9 years old through the ministry of MRBC Sunday School. In 1994, Tim married Dorothy Dadd, his childhood friend at MRBC, and they have four adult children (1 married).
Tim has served as an elder at the assembly since 2016. Both Tim and Dorothy serve together in various assembly and outreach ministries.
Tim is a retired Army Officer and works for a global pharmaceutical company.
